Purpose Statement

The Yushan Scholar Recruitment Campaign aims to recruit top international fellows to teach in Taiwan and encourage the development of NYCU's academic research, with the goal of expanding international academic capacity in Taiwan's academic environment and increasing Taiwan's global influence.

Required Academic Area

Fields related to the ICCS Joint Project: Conflict, Justice, and Decolonization: Critical Studies of Inter-Asian Societies.

Eligibility

Must not be current full-time employees of universities or academic research institutions, nor must they be full-time employees of universities or academic research institutions during their time in Taiwan.

Application Criteria

Has worked at a leading international research institution or an internationally renowned company for at least 10 years, has an international academic prestige or cutting-edge international expertise in core technology, and has experience in leading an academic or industrial research team

Recognition as a fellow of a national academy, a fellow of a significant international association, or has received some equivalent recognition.

Has made an outstanding contribution to the area of his or her academic or industrial expertise during the past 5 years.

Pay

The professor-level statutory salary from NYCU. The nonstatutory salary and the administration and operation grants by MOE.

Restrictions

If the MOE application is not recommended, the case will also be terminated.
