more【CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS】Conflict, Justice, Decolonization: Critical Studies on Inter-Asian Society Project
2019-09-06
The Conflict, Justice, Decolonization: Critical Studies on Inter-Asian Society Project aims to encourage current students to participate in a collaborative academic project under the general theme of Conflict, Justice, and Decolonization, from different perspectives and different sub-projects. The project has been ongoing for almost two years, and it involved graduate students from Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Vietnam, India, Palestine, Spain, Belgium, Hong Kong, and Taiwan—making possible the exchange of knowledge and experiences among international and local students outside the confines of the classroom. More than 30 articles that cover various topics have been published during that time, and an archive with links to distinguished websites relevant to students’ work has been built. All these materials have been included in a modern website created by the students participating in the project. The website serves as a platform to grant visibility to our students and as a showcase for ICCS and its M.A. and Ph.D. programs. Link to the website: http://iics.blog.nctu.edu.tw/
Under the theme “conflict, justice, and decolonization”, interested contributors could submit an academic essay, a book or movie review, etc. Feel free to be creative with your writing, but keep in mind the conventions of academic writing. The length of articles should be between 2000 to 3000 words for English papers, and 3000 to 4500 characters for papers written in Mandarin.
Selected articles will be published on the CJD website. The authors of selected articles will be awarded 4,000 NTD per article.
