課程設計宗旨:
本專題將透過當代哲學有關政治、倫理與美學的思考,建立幾個核心議題,然後閱讀與討論亞洲現代性以及中國古典論著具有代表性的文本,探討其中涉及亞洲論述、他者想像、主體位置、國家主義、國際主義之議題。我們希望思考這些問題在二十世紀之交知識轉型與體系化的過程中如何發生,涉及了什麼主體化工程與主權思考;我們同時也將思考如何對現代性的封閉體系重新進行解構的思考工作。本專題將區分主題,分學期進行。
2006年秋季班將著重於從精神分析理論重探美學與倫理之問題。我們將從影響亞洲美學與倫理概念最深刻的幾個論點出發,例如康德、費希特,然後進入美學與倫理概念的重新檢視。此課程的設計目的一則希望整理二十世紀西方思想重探美學與倫理的解構譜系,此譜系中精神分析對於語言的啟發是不可避開的基礎;再則希望將此思考帶入中文脈絡。本課程鼓勵同學進行理論性概念耙梳的期末報告,或是對於中文脈絡之美學與倫理的重新思考。
課程進行中,我們將納入文學、藝術、電影、劇場、音樂等美學形式參照討論。文本的選擇將視參與同學的興趣與計畫而修正,我歡迎參與同學提供文本之建議,若有任何建議,請以email與我聯繫。

學期計畫議題探討──
核心議題:
- 美學與倫理如何作為分析範疇?美學與倫理為何相互扣連?如何檢討共同體之美學與倫理制約?美學與倫理如何在特定之歷史同質化過程與賤斥體系之下被完成?
- 何謂僭越快感?為何倫理的基礎建立於接觸禁忌,甚至此倫理主體必然受到犧牲快感的誘惑?
- 如何討論文本/主體的內部分裂、文本肉身性以及過剩殘餘,檢視其中內外疆界之區分,從而開始思考有關他者的問題?
- 如何重探不具有排他性的倫理以及本體發生論的美學?是否可以認識真理之基進多數狀態、真理過程之無意識、真理之不可命名?
- 如何從文學與藝術開始討論具有基進意義的政治空間,以及有關共同體的分享與溝通?如何思考有關非家(unheimlich)的倫理?如何理解發生狀態中的他者?
