課程設計宗旨：
本專題將重新閱讀亞洲現代性相關的代表性文本，探討其中涉及亞洲論述、他者想像、主體位置、國家主義、國際主義之議題，以及這些議題在二十世紀之交知識轉型與體系化的過程中如何發生，涉及了什麼主體化工程與主權思考。
我們將先透過當代哲學的政治倫理思考，建立幾個核心議題，然後重新閱讀亞洲現代性以及中國古典論著具有代表性的文字。本專題將區分主題，分學期進行。2006年春季班將著重於政治性重探以及以及有關我們、共同體、群學、邊界等關鍵概念。

| 作業要求：
學期計畫議題探討──
- 歐陸當代哲學如何重新定義「政治」？是否可以根據某一特定脈絡整理此議題？
- 中文脈絡下的特定歷史時刻中，「政治」如何被定義？是否有la politique與 le politique的區別？
- 何時曾經展開政治性的重新詮釋？是否可以對照研究？例如晚清與民國初年、民國初年與三０年代、台灣與大陸的五０年代、八０年代、九０年代、2000年已降。
- 「我們」、「共同體」的概念如何被建構？以什麼論述模式或是神話模式？邊界在何處？透過什麼「政治」操作？
- 什麼論述界定了「外部」？如何透過預設式的預防策略將「排除」賦予合理化地位？例如清黨時期、戒嚴時期、文革時期？解嚴後是否有類似的外部排除合理化之工作在進行？
- 中文脈絡下政治美學化的模式與技術操作
- 美學之政治性的重新思考，理性與感性
- 集權主義心態、恐怖主義、戒嚴令的政治理論與心態
- 如何重新理解歷史？如何重新說「我們」？如何思考中文脈絡下的諸眾
- 大同的概念、仁學的概念、普世性的問題
- 中國古典思想中一與多的問題、同與異的問題、潛能的問題、有與無的問題
