name: Tracy Lin 483200132 Junior 3 comment: Chagall, "Les Mari de la Tour Eiffel" It is quite " lucky " that I don't know French, therefore, I don't know the name of this painting. What I can do is just to guess the topic of this painting and to figure out what this painter want to show in it. There are a bride wearing the sedding clothe and a groom in this painting. What the amazing thing is : there are a bird looking like a chicken and a " flying " goat in it,too. As for me, getting married is a thing which should feel joyful and happy, however, the couple here show no smile and the " flying " goat seems to blame them from the sky. Maybe the painter wants to imply that getting married is not so happy thing which people usually think. Besides, the goat and the chicken are usually the homebred animals, and they can be represented the symbol of daily life. Marriage is not only the important thing between the couple and it has to have the connection with the daily life, housework,children they may have in the future. After watching this painting, I will think about a lot of things ofthe life after marriage.
