name: Tina English483200510 comment: Fini, "Os Ilyaque" The white of the bone contrasts with the decomposing nature aroudn it We have the illusion that it is some plant growing out of the natural fertilizers that enrich its growth and continally nourish it. The sprawling plant gradually wraps it and entwines the bone along its peculiar shape. If this is the whole picture, most of the space in the painting is occupied by the gigantesque bone, and the world is minimized into the world of the bone. The bone in the hunting trap again emphasizes the remains of an animal caught and struggling to escape, but subsided in the end. The angle of the placing of the bone says much about this random occasion at which all kinds of animals can be trapped in the fatal vine.
