name: Senior, Jean Ding, 482200812 comment: Miro, "Woman" April 11,1997 I don't know why this woman looks like a dog! And it is really disgusted that her pudendum is exaggerated so much, just like a big, black, widely open hole, seeming waiting(or inviting) for something to get in. Here, her hands and feet are shortened; it seems to imply that hands and feets are not important, but the pudenda. So I think the painter, again, cruelly exposes women's function and status in the socity--just an entertainment for men. name: 英文三 謝佳懿 483200534 comment: Miro, "Woman" April 20th Comparing with Piccaso's "Woman", Miro's "Woman" is even more confusing. The woman looks like some kind of alien, or gaint ant. We can hardly point out which characteristic would prove the thing there as a woman. The big hole on the woman's bottom seems to suggest that woman has been treated as a tool for sex. Her expression is kind of struggling and refusing, that implies that she doesn't like to be this kind of tool, but man forced her to be one.
