In reality, it's not a face anymore but instead a skeleton or the skull of a woman. Apprently, this woman is not a woman in some developed or civilized state but a woman came from very traditional society, where their sole duty is to take care of their household and they have no any choice to choose their life but succumb the the fate of their life, in many instances, promote a wretchedness and tiredsome of life. Picasso presented this woman as living death. She has face and breathe to shout to the world yet this face was only a skull without flesh and blood. name: 英文三 謝佳懿 483200534 comment: Picasso, "Woman" April 20th In this picture, though we may guess from the long hair that this is a picture of a woman, her expression looks horrifying. The tongue sticking out looks like some kind of pendulum, the teeth are few and the whole expression is awful. The woman looks more like a robot than a normal human beings. name: junior Karen Huang 483200376 comment: Picasso, "Woman" 4/18/1997 Unlike the painting "The standing woman," I can figure out this woman's head, eyes, hair, mouth and neck. However, it doesn't look like a woman, either. This woman doesn't have affection or emotion. She looks like a woman made of a machine whose heart doesn't work anymore.
