講者簡介：
Wendy Cheng (鄭昕)博士是美國加州斯克利普斯學院(Scripps College)亞美研究系(Department of Asian American Studies)副教授。鄭博士2013年出版了The Changs Next Door to the Diazes: Remapping Race in Suburban California (University of Minnesota Press)一書，此書試圖理論化美國加州多元種族的郊區裡，地區性的種族與族群概念的形成，受到學界相當多的好評，包括 Journal of Cultural Geography、 Contemporary Sociology都刊登書評，並在2014年，獲得美國社會學會所屬亞洲與亞美研究會的年度書獎殊榮。更難得是，本書是少數有關台美人的英文學術著作。鄭博士的研究主要著重於種族與族群研究、都市研究與批判地理學研究。她在2012年與Laura Pulido and Laura Barraclough 合著的A People’s Guide to Los Angeles  (University of California Press)，是有關洛杉磯的另類歷史與權力抗爭的都市地方研究。她目前也在進行有關台灣留美學生的政治行動研究。
鄭博士是Annals of the American Association of Geographers 和 Journal of Urban History 的編輯委員，她也是Arizona Critical Ethnic Studies課程的創始者，並獲得2016年美國亞美研究協會頒發的Early Career Achievement Award。鄭博士任教的斯克利普斯學院(Scripps College)是美國著名的推動博雅教育的女子學院，和衛斯理學院和史密斯學院齊名，著重自然、社會與人文的整合教育。
