How to apply

In 2012, four prestigious universities in Taiwan (National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University Chiao Tung Campus, National Central University, National Tsing Hua University, and National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University Yang Ming Campus) launched the “International Master’s Program of Inter-Asia Cultural Studies” to promote the use of inter-Asian cultural connections as novel framework for approaching world history and global cultures. IACS has designed four major research clusters:

(1) Critical Theory and Asian Modernity;
(2) Contemporary Thought Trends and Social Movements;
(3) Gender / Sexuality Studies;
(4) Visual Culture.

We expect every IACS graduate to have a good grasp of Asian societies, politics and historical commonalities. As they grow knowledgeable about the latest developments of interdisciplinary studies of Humanities and Social Sciences, we also hope to cultivate our students’ sensitivity to everyday changes, both on the local and global level.

We  welcome all local and international students who are passionate about cultural studies to join us! Prospective students will enrol in and receive degrees from one of the four participating universities, but are able to select courses across the universities.

Details for fall semester enrolment are available at the wesbite of
University Entrance Committee for Overseas Chinese Students (https://cmn-hant.overseas.ncnu.edu.tw).
