Whole Person: The Creativity of Migrant Labor And Indigenous In Art Exhibitions
Principle Investigator:Fan-Yu Kuo, MA student, Institute of Social Research and Cultural Studies, NYCU
Starting from art exhibitions, this research examines indigenous peoples and migrant workers as "migrant laborers" facing similar circumstances. It explores how they can be regarded as "whole individuals" beyond the norms of citizenship, legal status, labor, and wages. Artistic creation and community gatherings are considered as forms of "creative resistance" for these two groups, analyzing the support they receive in terms of experiences, creative abilities, and spiritual beliefs outside of their labor identities.
