Inter-Asia Artistic Exchanges and Exhibition Histories from Cold War to Post-Cold War Era

My research objective is to explore the formation of the geopolitical network, politics and aesthetics in the changing regional history, and the cultural politics of decolonization from the Cold War to the post-Cold War era (1950s-1990s) through researching the archives of transnational and intraregional visual art exhibitions and artistic exchanges. I am currently completing an article focusing on the artistic and cultural network between Taiwan and the Philippines in the Cold War era, which will be published in 2023. My ongoing book project within the next few years will continue to develop the theme of Taiwan-Philippine artistic network by visiting art institutions, galleries, and museums in the Philippines and other Asian countries to collect archival resources and conduct interviews with individual artists.
