The Sino-ASEAN Infrastructural Nexus: Media, Culture, Geopolitics Online Lecture Series

本線上講座課程邀請三位來自新加坡的研究者，從地緣政治與媒介文化的角度協助聽眾思考中國與東南亞之間從冷戰至今的競合與連動關係。三位講者將分別從電影產業史、攝影史、國際外交戰略等實際案例分析這個本世紀初最重要的區域連動帶。

This online lecture series invites three authors/researchers based in Singapore during November and December to share their recent publications and research on the media, cultural, and geopolitical infrastructures that connect the Sinophone world and Southeast Asia through specific case studies on cinema industry, photography history, and diplomatic strategies.

Photography, Chineseness and the Production of National Cultures in Post-WWII Southeast Asia.

攝影、中國性、與戰後東南亞國族文化的建構

講者簡介:

Zhuang Wubin (critic, curator, and artist, in Singapore). Zhuang’s research focuses, through writing and exhibitions, on photography’s entanglements with modernity, colonialism, nationalism, “Chineseness,” and the Cold War in Southeast Asia and Hong Kong. He published Photography in Southeast Asia: A Survey (NUS Press, 2016) and Shifting Currents: Glimpses of a Changing Nation (National Library of Singapore, 2018).

莊吳斌，評論人、藝術家與策展人，透過書寫與策展，研究戰後東南亞與香港攝影中的解殖、現代性、國族主義與「中國性」。著有〈東南亞攝影調查〉（新加坡大學出版社，2016年）、〈潮流：轉變中的國族〉（新加坡大學圖書館，2018年）。

群貓難馴：東南亞國協對中國的集體行動與承諾挑戰

講者簡介:

Dr. Chong Ja Ian (Associate Professor, National University of Singapore). The author of External Intervention and the Politics of State Formation: China, Indonesia, Thailand, 1893-1952 (Cambridge, 2012), a recipient of the 2013 International Security Studies Section Book Award from the International Studies Association. His publications appear in the China Quarterly, European Journal of International Relations, International Security, Security Studies, and other journals.

莊嘉穎，新加坡國立大學副教授，著作〈建國與國際政治– 近代中印泰主權國家建構比較史(1893-1952) 〉（劍橋大學出版社，2012年） 獲國際研究協會國際安全研究組2013年度最佳書獎。論文可見於《中國季刊》、《歐洲國際關係》、《國際安全》、《安全研究》等期刊。

Dr. Sangjoon Lee (Associate Professor of Asian Cinema, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore). The author of Cinema and the Cultural Cold War: US Diplomacy and the Origins of the Asian Cinema Network (Cornell University Press, 2020). Director of NTU’s Asian Cinema Lab.

李尚埈，新加坡南洋理工大學副教授，〈電影與文化冷戰：美國外交與亞洲電影工業網之起源〉（康乃爾大學出版社，2020年）作者。南洋理工大學亞洲電影實驗室主持人。
