We are pleased to invite you to submit your papers to the project of Conflict, Justice, Decolonization: Critical Studies of Inter-Asian Societies.

台灣作為自身，作為世界的一員
TAIWAN AS ITSELF AND AS PART OF THE WORLD

過去的三個學期，我們致力於刊載關心國際事務的論文；本學期，CJD平台從「遠取諸物」到「近驗諸身」，回到台灣及與之關聯的議題。我們歡迎同仁從社會、經濟、文化和政治的視角撰寫與台灣社會和人民有關的文章，可討論台灣的在地事務，也可關注台灣在區域/國際舞台的地緣政治角色。

After three semesters devoting the platform’s space for international affairs, this semester, CJD aims to “hit home” by focusing on Taiwanese and Taiwan-related issues. Collaborators are welcomed and urged to write about matters that are of social, economic, cultural, and political concerns of Taiwanese society and people. We welcome articles that discuss Taiwan’s domestic issues as well as Taiwan as a geopolitical player on the regional/international stage.

儘管我們的初心在台灣，但我們同樣期待那些與世界各地正在發生的事情聯動的作品。我們推薦的議題包括但不限於下列主題：

Although primarily interested in “Taiwan”, we also welcome contributions that address recent affairs happening elsewhere. Our suggestions for contributions include, but not limited to, the following topics:

Taiwan’s pineapple politics or “Freedom Pineapple” 台灣的鳳梨政治/「自由鳳梨」
The Youth Activism in East/Southeast Asia 東亞/東南亞的青年運動
Ever Given and the implications of the blocked Suez Canal 長賜號與蘇伊士運河大堵塞的後果
Politics of disaster management 災害管理的政治
Myanmar’s military coup d'etat 緬甸軍事政變

請注意，除了聚焦台灣的作品，我們同樣會考慮其他作品，只要其與社會抗爭和不平等問題相關，或符合衝突、正義、解殖的主旨關懷。

It is worth mentioning that besides contributions that foreground “Taiwan”, we will consider all works that address social struggle and inequality and those within the scope of Conflict, Justice, and Decolonization.

作品形式不拘，我們接受學術論文、會議報導、紀錄訪談、書評、影評、攝影專題和短片（不超過15分鐘）。

In terms of forms of contributions, we accept scholarly articles, conference reviews, documented interviews, book reviews, film reviews, photo essays, and short films (of maximum 15 minutes).
英文文章的字數要求為2,000-3,000字，中文文章的字數要求為3,000-4,500字。

The articles’ length should be 2,000-3,000 words for English articles and 3,000-4,500 characters for articles written in Mandarin.

通過篩選的文章將會發表在我們的網站上。對於在台灣的學生作者，我們將提供每篇文章4,000台幣的獎勵。

Selected articles will be published on the CJD website. The authors of selected articles, who are based in universities in Taiwan, will be awarded 4,000 NTD per article.

我們將把本次台灣專題的投稿集結成冊，作者可獲小誌一本。

We will also publish a booklet of articles addressing Taiwanese and Taiwan-related issues. Articles selected to be published in this booklet will receive a copy of the book.

如何申請 / How to Apply

感興趣的同學請填寫申請表格：

Interested contributors are requested to fill out the application form provided by ICCS.

申請時請提交摘要。英文摘要的字數要求為300-400字，中文摘要的字數要求為450-600字（中文摘要需附英文翻譯）。申請時不必提供全文。

The abstracts’ length should be 300-400 words for English articles and 450-600 characters for articles written in Mandarin. FULL-TEXT ARTICLE IS NOT REQUIRED TO COMPLETE THE APPLICATION.
